A mobile planetarium show is precisely what it sounds like. It is a real, but hall-size planetarium, which comes to you.

The Auriga Star Dome planetariums are domes where we offer presenter-led planetarium shows with a pseudo IMAX experience. The audience flies past planets and galaxies, looks at rockets, as well as do some stargazing and constellations spotting even on a very cloudy day. Read our genuine feedback here!

Our mobile planetariums are portable, so there are some differences to the stationary option, they do not have a floor. However, because our planetarium is a mobile option, we can offer much more personalised sessions. Planetarium shows’ visitors will get more than just a film that everyone else shows; We write our own shows. Because our shows are in 16:9 full HD but HUGE screen as opposed to 360 like so many others, we can accommodate chairs for staff or the disabled. At the end of the show we invite members of the audience to ask them related questions.

We also regularly visit Scout and Guide camps with our marquee suitable dome.

Our mobile planetariums are both the same size and can accommodate 35 children plus teachers or up to 15 seats for public shows, it requires an apex ceiling height of 3.5 m.

Our shows are adapted to the needs of our visitors making each session a valuable learning experience, we have shows that are created for the following groups; EYFS to A level, special educational needs Public and scout groups

If necessary, we can provide you with copies of our risk assessment. Our presenter Dave has over 20 years of experience in delivering shows to a range of audience.  We are also fully insured and all our presenters have DBS checks.
